However, some snags in the plan pushed the date to January, and with no need for explanation, you can understand why an outdoor Minnesota wedding in January might not be everyones favorite! ha. So if you’re looking for a show stopping ceremony on the sand, don’t miss out on this elegant waterfront wedding venue. They had planned for some time in the fall and a small guest list. That’s what it feels like attending a wedding at Reflection Bay at Lake Las Vegas. Grace and Aaron originally reached out to me to help them photograph a small elopement in a park somewhere in Minnesota. Reflection Bay Golf Club, in Lake Las Vegas is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and rated 4 in the State of Nevada and is only minutes east of the Las Vegas Strip.
I could easily tell you all that made this trip incredible, but these photos tell that story more eloquently than I ever could. But, I never expected how emotionally beautiful the entire weekend was. Obviously, researching other weddings at Reflection Bay, and other cool places to shoot in the area – Like Valley of Fire State Park ( check out our session there) – I knew it was going to be beautiful.
When Grace and Aaron asked me to photograph their wedding out in Henderson, Nevada at Reflection Bay Golf Club last January, I truly had no idea what to expect. A former member of Golf Digests 100 Greatest Public Courses, this Jack Nicklaus design sits along the edge of Lake Las Vegas, less than 20 miles east of. Reflection Bay Golf Club is located in Henderson’s Lake Las Vegas resort community.
